Therapy and tutoring team

Yolly Broek MRCSLT

Clinical Lead, Speech & Language Therapist, Senior Bobath Tutor

Yolly qualified as a Speech & Language therapist in 1991 in Amsterdam. She is our clinical lead, and guides the team and the direction of therapy. She also teaches on the Bobath Foundation course and SLT related courses at The Bobath Centre.

Special interests: cerebral palsy, dysphagia and AAC

Marie Stanley MCSP PCE 

Bobath Clinical Expert Physiotherapist and Training Lead 

Marie qualified as a physiotherapist in 2000 and began working at The Bobath Centre in 2002, qualifying as a Bobath tutor in 2014. As well as treating children, Marie is our Training Lead and she manages our training programmes. She also teaches on Bobath Foundation and Introductory courses and assists tutors with clinical practice on other courses. 

Special interests: cerebral palsy from birth to adolescence and taking Bobath into the community

Memberships: Member and Secretary of the UKBTA (UK British Tutors Association)

Rajkumar Rajan MCSP PCE 

Physiotherapist, Bobath Tutor

Raj qualified as a physiotherapist in 1997 and completed an MSc in Fitness and Exercise Rehabilitation in 2001, in South India. He completed the Bobath Foundation course in spring 2001.

Raj has been working as a physiotherapist at The Bobath Centre since 2004 treating both children and adults. He now leads our adult support services including adult meet ups. In addition to his clinical role, Raj teaches on the Bobath foundation course and assists other tutors in clinical practice.

Special interests: child development and early intervention; neuroscience, biomechanics, orthotics and outcome measures

​Helen Foale MCSP 


Helen qualified as a physiotherapist in 2000 and was specialising in paediatrics by 2002. She took the Bobath foundation course in 2008 and joined the team in 2011. Helen is now leading our BoBaby! services and is part of our audit and research team.  

Special interest: early intervention (EI), gait analysis and kinesiotaping

Eleanor Johnson SROT, PGCE (primary)

Occupational Therapist

Eleanor qualified as an OT in 1997 and started working with children and young people in 1998.  She has worked in several different settings and also as a teacher for children with cerebral palsy when living in New Zealand.  Eleanor completed the Bobath Foundation course in 2021, joining the team shortly after in 2022.

Special interest: use of equipment to support function

Madeleine Cassidy (CEO)

Madeleine Cassidy joined as Chief Executive Officer in October 2019. Before taking up her role at The Bobath Centre, Madeleine was Chief Executive Officer of the Brazelton Centre, a national children’s charity where she led the organisation towards a new strategic direction and oversaw the development of new services for families. Her background lies in Brand Marketing management for national commercial brands and Madeleine transitioned into the voluntary sector in 2004, where she has worked in the fields of child development and disability. Madeleine holds a MSC in Voluntary Sector Management and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Sally Griffin (COO)

‘Sally joined The Bobath Centre in October 2020 as Chief Operating Officer. Sally is a pragmatic, solutions-based leader who has responsibility for ensuring the financial and operational systems and processes at the centre are fit for purpose. Previously Sally worked for 15 years as COO for a leading B2B publisher in HR News & Leadership Development.
