Deciding on therapy is a big step, so we want you to meet us and learn about our treatment, before you choose the plan that works best for you and your family.
So, to help you decide whether our therapy services are what you are looking for, you can book <link> a free, one-to-one, 45-minute welcome session, hosted by one of our senior Bobath therapists.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about how Bobath Therapy can support your specific needs through individually-centred physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech & language therapy.
Welcome sessions offer advice and information to everyone including:
- parents or carers who are new to baby and child cerebral palsy
- adults who have cerebral palsy or other neurological conditions
- health visitors supporting parents with babies and young children with cerebral palsy
- GPs and carers of those with cerebral palsy or similar neurological conditions
- case managers
These sessions give you the opportunity to discuss your needs with a specialist therapist and learn more about how we can support you. Sessions can be face-to-face or via video-call – whichever works best for you.
It’s important for safeguarding that parents and/or carers attend their welcome session with their child or dependent. Whereas, adults may attend sessions with a family member or carer, if they want to.
Sessions are informal and relaxed with a chance to ask questions. There will be information sharing and discussion around you, your needs and what aspects of the Bobath Approach can help you.
For professionals, like therapists, health visitors and case managers, we can have a more detailed conversation about the complexities your patient or client has.
We will contact you after the session to recommend a course of therapy, if it’s suitable for you and your needs.
