What is World CP Day?
Although cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common physical disability in childhood, it is widely misunderstood. Through World CP Day, we have the opportunity to raise awareness of CP in our communities and assist others to look beyond the disability.
World CP Day is an opportunity for the whole world to come together to recognise and celebrate the 17 million people around the world living with cerebral palsy.
On 6 October every year, individuals, families and organisations celebrate by sharing stories, hosting events, and wearing the colour green.

Host a fundraising event
Why not plan a virtual fundraising event. You could put a quiz on for your family and friends, or your work colleagues, where each person donates a certain amount of money to enter. Or maybe you want to hold an online raffle with exciting prizes for people to enjoy. If you have a birthday in October why not set up a birthday fundraiser on facebook.
If you are stuck with what to do then let our fundraising team help you. We’re always here to help you with your fundraising!
- Go green for Cerebral Palsy
- Get your green fingers on and plant a flower or tree in support of people with cerebral palsy. Don’t worry you don’t have to be a good gardener to do this! When you plant your flower you could donate £! to The Bobath Centre.
- Tell your community about cerebral palsy
- You can help us to celebrate the day by simply telling others about cerebral palsy and about the work that we do at The Bobath Centre.
You can add your fundraising to our campaign - https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/makeyourbobathmark?invite=true
